About The Position

Corporate Accountant Overview: The Corporate Accountant is responsible for the daily accounting and financial statement preparation for entities of the organization, maintains bank records and communicates areas of concern with financial management. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily. Support Services: Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing controls and checks across all departments. Manage the accuracy and recording of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, payroll, and general entity accounting. Lead month-end close activities for assigned locations, working with accounts payable, affiliated entities, corporate accounting and others as needed. Work with location administrators and corporate AR to develop monthly variance explanations for key business drivers. Develop and issue timely monthly financial statements for management, banks, lenders and others as requested. Revenue reporting including statistical analysis of data. Timely submission of documentation to lenders. Prepare monthly reconciliations. Prepare schedules for annual cost reporting. Participate in annual budget process including generating historical cost templates. Interface with outside audit firms, banks, and others. Attend and participate in meetings as assigned. Periodically participate in organization sponsored events. Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities. Direct implementation of corrective action as needed, resulting from internal or external inspections. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree in related field, with five or more years of related experience. Advanced degree, CPA license and experience in the healthcare field are preferred but not required. Experience working with banking and financial institutions for financial reporting and transactions preferred. Proficient in Excel and Word; experienced with accounting software. Desirable: specific experience with PCC general ledger, QuickBooks, AvidPay software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to communicate orally and through written reports and other documents relating to residents, staff and others. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical journals and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Requirements
