About The Position
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is seeking a commissioned police officer to enforce the law and provide service, information, and aid to all citizens as circumstances require. The officer will be responsible for preventing crime, suppressing disturbances, investigating criminal offenses, and arresting offenders. This role is crucial for the protection, safety, and welfare of students, employees, visitors, and all property within the jurisdiction of The University of Texas System. The officer will exercise independent judgment within the limits prescribed by law and institutional regulations, serving as a Campus Security Authority as defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
