About The Position

O Bee Credit Union is hiring a Core Systems Administrator to join our amazing team. What You’ll Do: As our Core Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the reliable operation and optimization of the credit union’s core banking systems and related infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will be the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and maintenance of core banking applications and technologies, ensuring system efficiency, data integrity, and security while providing technical support and contributing to initiatives that align core system operations with strategic business goals. The Details: Location: Lacey, WA Pay Range: The range for this position is $106,490.46-$159,735.69 annually with a target range of $106,490.46-$133,113.07 annually, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • Must have an Associate Degree in Computer Science or a relevant technology field, or equivalent education, training, and experience. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Must have 5-10 years of financial institution experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of data flows in relation to databases, programs, and reports execution.
  • Knowledge and application of Agile Methodology.
  • Available for on-call status and occasional evening and weekend work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Jack Henry Symitar and ancillary system is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer core banking and related system operations to ensure accurate and efficient transaction activity and business continuity.
  • Support and maintain core banking host hardware, AIX Operating System, and other applications as needed.
  • Perform regular maintenance to enhance system efficiency, including server up time.
  • Act as a core banking systems Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Work closely with business units to follow retention policies.
  • Support and maintain DR plan for core banking system operations, including data backups to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
  • Create and maintain documentation as needed for all core banking systems.
  • Resolve assigned core banking system related service tickets.
  • Participate as a team member with credit union staff, vendors, and consultants to implement new technologies and troubleshoot problems.
  • Support the review, testing, and deployment of core system release updates by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • Support operation of test/development environments.
  • Administer core banking system user access and management, including user provisioning and the creation and maintenance of user security privilege groups.
  • Administer or direct core banking system operations including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly processing.
  • Support and maintain job scheduling system operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
