About The Position

The Core Store Associate is an all-around-the-store position, involved in many aspects of what makes the stores amazing. Core Store Associates may be trained in multiple areas of the store including Grocery, Produce, and Front-End, focusing on making the store awesome and taking the very best care of guests.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a 'Guest services ambassador' and ensures that all guests are approached, and assisted in a warm, friendly and welcoming way, and that all of their needs are met
  • Ensures products are properly stocked: dairy, frozen, packaged goods, bulk, and/or produce, and that all product is neatly and accurately placed on shelves and in displays, allowing for proper facings according to shelf tags and signage or merchandising directives
  • Maintains all special, seasonal, and cross merchandised displays as necessary and in accordance with the monthly merchandising directive.
  • Stays passionate, educated and informed regarding new products and industry trends here
  • Receiving and backroom organization
  • Product maintenance; ensures all product has proper representation (signage) on the shelf
  • Store cleanliness and organization (sales floor, backroom, departments)
  • Produce handling and preparation (stocking, culling, cutting, packaging)
  • Cash handling and register operations
  • General operations support as assigned
  • Communication with supervisors and team
