About The Position

Develop STA point of view with Technical Experts and affected regions on manufacturing feasibility risk assessment and readiness for interior commodity manufacturing. Support and execute launch preparation with the suppliers through and including Phase 3 PPAP. Provide support to Site STA, engaging supplier's Global Management team to address systemic quality, capacity, and manufacturing issues. Support the development and maintenance of interior commodity manufacturing standards Collaborate with peers in STA, Product Development, and Purchasing Work with product engineering on design and engineering specifications (ES) to address feasibility issues Provide guidance to purchasing for outsourced components/assemblies related to interior commodity manufacturing process and testing procedures Coordinate efforts regarding FMA, SCCAF, pass through characteristics and quality metrics with cross-functional team Develop global lessons learned and prevent recurrence. Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • 3 - 5 years minimum experience in manufacturing, quality and supplier management.
  • Knowledge in manufacturing, Interior Commodity Preferred (e.g. Injection Molding, Foam in Place, Vac Forming, IMG, IMGL, Paint, Press Bonding, welding, stamping, assembly, etc.).
  • Flexibility to travel approximately 40%
  • Collaborative minded with ability to work within a team
  • Ability to speak and write in the English language fluently to effectively communicate with global teams.
  • Advanced knowledge in manufacturing and Interior Commodity.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA/MS preferred - Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical
  • Review quality performance and evaluate enhancements for continuous improvement in interior commodity manufacturing
