The Biocontainment Facilities Core Research Associate II is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the biocontainment laboratories: the Emerging Pathogens Facility (EPF) (BSL-3 Enhanced) and the Conventional Biocontainment Laboratory (CBF) (BSL-3). The biocontainment facilities serve as a shared resource to support and promote safe work practices and regulatory compliance for the use of Select Agents and toxins, BSL-3 agents, animals, and arthropod vectors. Under the supervision of the Director, Biocontainment Facilities, this individual will implement, and continually evaluate a facility maintenance program and ensure that research activities involving biological agents, including biological select agents and toxins, comply with institutional policies and city, state, and federal regulations.
