About The Position

Core Processing Lead Senior Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Mission Systems Phantom Works organization has an exciting opportunity for a senior level Core Processing Lead engineer. This position will be part of a proprietary program located in Berkeley, MO . Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. This position will lead solutions and integration of Core Processing solutions in computer science, advance networking operations with focus on Precision Time Protocols (PTP), tagging, network traffic, encryption, storage, mission computer, and overall architect. The selected engineer will work in a high-performing cross functional team primarily focus on Core Processing. This position will directly report to the Core Avionics team within Mission Systems on a Phantom Works Proprietary program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (Level 5)
  • 14+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 12+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
  • Electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification.
  • Experience with avionics hardware development, design, production, and project management.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years in development and qualification, physical and functional integration and design and resolving supplier technical issues.
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification.
  • 5+ years of experience with Avionics Hardware development, design, production and project management

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight to hardware leads
  • Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application
  • Designs hardware, software, and interface specifications
  • Architect Network and Processing solution
  • Define and conduct tests to validate performance of designs to requirements Using CAMEO/MBSE
  • Analyze, translate, and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle
  • Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Support project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status
  • Interface with multiple disciplines , internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels of the organization
