About The Position

Summary (Position Description): This position is responsible for the teardown, inspection, and evaluation of returned compressors, as well as cleaning and preparing components for reuse or further processing. The role supports the Core Processing Team in maintaining production flow, quality standards, and overall efficiency.

Requirements

  • Previous production/manufacturing experience a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Must be able to work well in a small team environment, or equally alone as well.
  • Must have experience working with hands and power tools. (Grinders, drills, impact guns, etc.)
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs. repetitively as well as be on feet all day.
  • Must have a valid GA driver’s license.
  • Must be able to employ safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble returned compressors using hand and power tools for detailed inspection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to and improving upon 5S standards.
  • Evaluate internal and external components to determine condition, wear, and failure causes.
  • Inspect parts for defects, damage, or contamination and document findings accurately
  • Perform basic testing and measurements to assess functionality and performance
  • Sort and categorize reusable, repairable, and scrap components
  • Clean and prepare compressor parts for further processing or refurbishment
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of tools and equipment
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production and evaluation targets
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Support overtime production needs as required
