Core Prep Specialist/Blast Operator

About The Position

Maxcess-Valley Roller is dedicated to the development and design of rubber-covered rollers for industrial applications since 1984. Core Prep Specialist/Blaster Reading and interpreting production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports, and any other materials that summarize requirements for the preparation process. Safely locate and retrieve rolls to the roll prep area utilizing overhead cranes, forklifts, and various materials handling equipment. Install and remove any special fixtures, expanding mandrels, plugs, and other tools as required. Safely operate and maintain shop blaster equipment, dust collection, air compressor, hand booth blaster, industrial belt sander and other equipment as required. Ensure bonding adhesives are agitated regularly, per standard operating procedures. Paint cores according to roller specifications, job card instruction and specific department training with an even coat of bonding agents. Remove, Prepare, Protect and Clean cores and journals as required for their protection and preparation for blasting and core preparation. Protect prepped cores from contamination

Requirements

  • Read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical documents.
  • Utilize all inspection and measurement equipment, including durometer gauges, micrometers, vernier diameter tapes, dial indicators, profilometers, temperature-indicating devices.
  • Understand basic math.
  • Utilize safe operating procedures.
