About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting throughout the core molding department including the core grinding area. This role will assist in product handling and core production.

Requirements

• Ability to solve problems independently
• Ability to make decisions independently
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to read and write through various means of communication
• Understanding of mechanical concepts related to manufacturing
• Basic understanding of math concepts
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to read, write and understand English

Responsibilities

• Load preforms accurately into load trays
• Follow standard work regarding inner, outer and solid core processing
• Source inspection of slugs pre molding and cores post molding
• Report robotic/mechanical/electrical/piping problems
• Must also be able to maintain daily logs, product counts and scrap counts
• Participate in continuous improvement to maximize productivity and obtain the best quality and rate of operation
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness
• Work in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processes
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
