About The Position

WVU Medicine, West Virginia University Health System Medical Group (WVUHS Medical Group) is actively seeking a full-time Core Faculty Hospitalist Physician, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV and South Charleston, WV. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Internal Medicine / Hospital Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Candidate must have a MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. The successful candidate must have completed an Internal Medicine residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Internal Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. We are a growing academic hospitalist section that affords the faculty member teaching opportunities of residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers in both a one-on-one setting, as well rounding teams covering inpatient consults for the Department of Medicine. Location: West Virginia’s capital city is perfectly positioned at the confluence of the Kanawha and Elk rivers. Requirements
