BWXT is currently seeking a Core Design Thermal-Hydraulic Engineering intern for its BIC Campus in Lynchburg, VA location. BWXT is seeking an intern with the responsibility for providing support including, but not limited to: Collaborate with experienced engineers and designers to develop analytical models for nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulic performance analysis and assess their operating characteristics using state-of-the-art analysis software. Work within a multi-disciplinary team to make design tradeoffs and decisions relating to thermal-hydraulic performance of a terrestrial or space based nuclear reactor system.
