State Street Core Data is a critical component of the Alpha front to back service offering combining both technology and service provision to deliver significant data management value to our clients. We're looking for a candidate to take on the role of Data Solutions Architect to support detailed assessment of Client data requirements and available solutions to lead development and implementation. Requirements

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills across all channels and levels of recipients including team members, colleagues, clients at all levels including C suite.
  • Experienced hands-on ETL, Snowflake, CI/CD Pipelines, SQL, Data Quality rules and Data-Readiness design and implementation of data platforms
  • Experience in designing and implementing relational data models for a variety of data sets which include audit, time series, complex relationships, and high-volume
  • Experience and understanding of system performance and profiling techniques of complex data model for storage and consumption
  • Influencing the staff in a matrixed organization is required

  • Ability to rationalize problems and use judgment and innovation to define clear and concise solutions
  • Extensive experience with Financial Services data domains – Security Master, Entity Master, Index/Benchmarks, Positions, Transactions, Cash, Performance, Analytics, ESG etc.
  • Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, Service Catalogue, Data Lineage tools, Operational Dash boards, Process Monitoring tools
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale data solution for major transformation initiatives, including migration and integration strategies for transitioning complex data ecosystems.
  • Experience in designing and implementing API strategies to harmonize data services across multiple platforms and third parties, ensuring seamless interoperability and standardized data exchange.
  • Working knowledge in Azure / AWS cloud platforms and Snowflake is a huge plus
  • Knowledge about internal and external integrations, triage issues and implement/recommend solutions to data problems and anomalies.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of application of Machine Learning and AI in Data Management within Financial services is a plus.
  • Prior experience with industry Order Management Systems (OMS) is considered a plus
  • University degree in the field of computer science, data management or other financial services technical field
  • 15+ years in data management, data architecture, product and market data roles and responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Coordination across product, technology and the client’s Chief Data Architect and Data teams through the implementation journey and adoption.
  • Provide thought leadership to the client during the due diligence and through delivery by understanding and curating data delivery solutions specific to STT Core Data coupled with client’s architecture and consumption .
  • Responsible for the end to end data solutioning of Front-to-Back ("F2B”) to the client, starting with helping with initial due diligence and client presentations, documenting Target Data Solution Architecture and Future State Operating model of Data services, Solution Design, Environment Setup, Development of any Custom Components or Strategic Enhancements, Go Live activities and Post Go live hyper care support.
  • Will manage the data solutioning and shared ownership of at least one large client implementation, or multiple medium to small clients concurrently.
  • Collaborate with upstream application and system owners within State Street to integrate using the standard model.
  • Design and execution of process engineering to ‘bring to life’ the data solution encompassing data flows from multiple sources to target client consumption layer.
  • Identify product and data service gaps and partner with Product and Service Practice managers to solution the gaps and propose interim or tactical solutions.
  • Partner with broader State Street Application/Service Owners to provide solutions in support of any new client requirements that are an extension of the standard set of services or in some select cases a client specific bespoke data solution.
  • Support the development and defect resolution process by collaborating with the development and testing teams in understanding the root cause of data issues and ensuring all defects are fixed.
  • Collaborate with all internal technical and business teams including GTS, SaaS Ops, Alpha Cloud Ops, Alpha Platform Engineering, Alpha Product, ADS Implementation, Alpha Data Ops and client teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Client Implementation Executives and Leads to align on the Client Pathways implementation activities.
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures and ensure adoption, including any client specific requirements that might be custom bespoke processes.
  • Engage with the L2/L4 Support teams to ensure proper coverage
  • Collaborate with external vendors as needed for a given client implementation, this will include vendors like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MSCI, Factset, Axioma etc.
