Core Bring Up Engineer
About The Position
The Core Platform Bring-up team within Apple's CoreOS organization is looking for an extraordinary software engineer to work on state-of-the art technology, debug, and bring-up of next generation Apple devices. This group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and services into a single Apple experience. In this role, you will have the chance to work on many core technologies for Apple products and make a major impact in how they are developed and shipped. Requirements
- Proven creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to deliver proven work on tight schedules.
- Excellent collaborative skills.
- Experience with JTAG and other debuggers.
- Previous experience writing embedded device drivers.
- Previous experience with platform bring-up or porting of operating systems.
- Previous exposure to hardware and processor simulation.
Responsibilities
- Work with multi-functional teams to support requirements for a wide variety of Apple products.
- Bring-up, verification, and debug of new SoCs and hardware platforms.
- Develop firmware, drivers, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Drive product features and functional/industry specifications.
- Involvement in specification for hardware platforms.
