Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $156,576.13 - $173,563.63. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. Requirements

  • PA: Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited school of physician assistant studies
  • NYS PA license
  • NCCPA Board certification as a PA
  • DEA
  • ACLS/BLS certification
  • Infection Control certificate
  • NP: master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited school of nursing with a specialty certification in Family Practice (FNP)
  • licensure as a NP and RN in the state of NY
  • board certification as an NP
  • DEA
  • ACLS/BLS certification
  • Infection Control certificate
  • Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Training Program.
  • Bachelors Physician Assistant
  • Current NCCPA Certificate - 100 hours of continuing medical education must be logged every 2 years. Recertification Examination must be taken every 6-10 years and passed successfully.
  • Current New York State registration.
  • Infection Control Certificate must be current.
  • Must have taken child abuse recognition course.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, urgent, emergency admissions
  • H&Ps as delegated by management.
  • Post Op Checks
  • Rounding on patients as delegated by management.
  • Obtain sign out from the day team and follow up on any pending issues.
  • Provide sign out to the day team at the end of the shift.
  • Triage and prioritize patient issues.
  • Collaborate with surgeon, medical clearing MD and consultants regarding patient issues.
  • Phone call management for post discharge patients as assigned
  • Assists with contracts
  • Assists in the negotiation of physician managed care contracts, analytics, and financial modeling.
  • Coordinates physician enrollment in managed care plans.
  • Ensures compliance of managed care companies with negotiated contracts.
  • Follows up and resolving payment issues with Insurance Payors.
  • Acts as a liaison between physician offices and Insurance Payors.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and documents for all PHO related meetings.
  • Creates and maintains tracking logs for Insurance Payor issues and accountability for closing out items.
  • Oversees PHO phone line, answers and responds to inquires, and assist with urgent physician office issues.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance record.
  • Reports for duty punctually.
  • Adjusts to changing situations and work assignments.
