About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, juvenile justice, psychology, sociology, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year work experience with youth and two years of education or training.
  • Ability to treat all individuals with dignity and respect.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively within culturally diverse populations and team-dependent models.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and willingness to receive feedback.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting.
  • Knowledge of Positive Youth Development approaches.
  • First-aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing supervision and care for male adolescents in a residential setting.
  • Assist in the treatment and supervision of youth in custody of the Department of Human Services.
  • Deliver individual and group skills training to clients.
  • Record daily observations and track treatment goals.
  • Maintain a structured living environment in accordance with program expectations.
  • Perform periodic security checks and ensure the safety of the facility.
  • Complete daily progress notes and incident reports by the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and encourage clients' personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve meals to clients in accordance with USDA standards.
  • Facilitate group skills training sessions and house meetings.
