Join Our Team as a Cord Blood Donation Recruitment Specialist in Jacksonville, FL Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community? LifeSouth Community Blood Centers invites you to be part of our mission to save lives through cord blood donation. Schedule: Primarily first shift from 6:30 am-3 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays About the Role As a Cord Blood Donation Recruitment Specialist, you will: Obtain Informed Consent: Educate expectant mothers and families at the bedside regarding cord blood donation and obtain informed consent in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards. Maintain Accurate Records: Complete and submit documentation accurately and within required timelines and follow up on missing information or specimens as needed. Ensure Compliance: Review and ensure all paperwork related to the collection process is complete and accurate. Maintain Standards: Ensure collected cord blood units and supplies are stored and shipped properly. Coordinate Collection Logistics: Track consents, tube orders, collections, and shipments to ensure timely completion prior to maternal discharge from hospital.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Preferred experience in patient consent, clinical research, hospital outreach, public health fieldwork, labor and delivery, hospitals, obstetrical offices, and/or health/patient education.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with medical professionals at every level.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license.
  • Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver’s eligibility requirements.
  • Positive bedside manner and emotional intelligence with excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
