About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative CORA Assessor/CHAP Trainer to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard. Responsibilities Review system documentation, technical configurations, and security control implementations against CORA and CHAP evaluation criteria. Assist in conducting compliance reviews, validate artifacts, and document control deficiencies aligned with NIST SP 800‑53 and organizational cybersecurity standards. Support preparation of assessment reports, findings, corrective action recommendations, and remediation tracking documentation. Deliver structured training sessions on CORA/CHAP processes, assessment methodologies, and compliance requirements to system owners and technical staff. Maintain assessment records, evidence packages, and training materials in the authoritative repository. Contribute to continuous improvement of evaluation procedures, templates, and training content based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback. Coordinate with assessment leads, ISSOs/ISSMs, and system owners to clarify evidence requirements and close findings. Support logistics for on‑site or virtual assessment events and assist with presentation materials for briefings. #ENOCS Qualifications Qualifications 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance. Required experience and skills: Experience supporting cybersecurity assessments, compliance reviews, or training delivery (junior level). Familiarity with NIST SP 800‑53 control families, basic RMF concepts, and evidence collection practices. Ability to document findings clearly, prepare remediation recommendations, and maintain assessment artifacts. Strong communication and instructional skills for delivering training to technical and non‑technical audiences. Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools; basic familiarity with vulnerability/assessment tools preferred. Desired: Prior exposure to CORA/CHAP assessment activities or DoD/ARNG compliance programs. Experience supporting classroom or virtual training, curriculum updates, or lesson‑plan development. Target Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
