About The Position

The Copywriter for Medical & Scientific Communications will be responsible for creating innovative visual materials for healthcare advertising initiatives. This role involves collaborating with creative teams to develop concepts, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines, and translating complex scientific information into effective messages. The Copywriter will also assist in improving the creative performance of the team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (PhD, PharmD) preferred
  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in a creative healthcare agency
  • Brand launch experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Strong experience on large cross-channel and/or direct marketing initiatives across mediums
  • Experience with online and offline media preferred
  • Flexibility, proactive working style, and accountability
  • Can-do attitude coupled with a collaborative spirit
  • Professional maturity and accountability
  • An 'always learning' mentality

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with creative team members to determine concept, brand and copy directions
  • Ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand and style guidelines
  • Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
  • Translate concepts into effective messages, ensuring messages can be supported by the science and data
  • Collaborate with art partners to simplify complex information in visual ways
  • Contribute to brainstorming and creative brief development
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and juggle writing demands
  • Possess strong communication skills with a positive attitude
  • Evaluate the work of Copywriters and Associates to ensure that the components of relevance are leveraged appropriately
  • Check alignment of relevance constantly and report misalignment to your EVP
  • Understand the goals of every program that you work on and communicate those goals to the team consistently
  • Understand the needs, motivations, and aspirations relevant to your audiences
