The Copy Manager (Customer Experience) is responsible for managing two copy team members, weekly assignments, timelines and deliverables, and guiding creative concepts and content for all of Marshalls Customer Experience touchpoints across print and digital, in support of the integrated marketing plan and Brand strategies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years copy experience with 2+ years of management experience.
  • Portfolio showcasing examples of your written work.
  • BA in English, Communications, or similar degree or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of writing for different channels with strong experience in Site, Email, and Print.
  • Strong understanding of the consumer shopping journey—from digital to store.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with changing demands.
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills.
  • Experience writing for fashion or retail brands/companies.

Responsibilities

  • Support Copy CD in efforts to produce high-quality, strategy lead marketing campaigns and weekly content.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Management, Brand Marketing, Site, Digital Marketing, and Analytics teams.
  • Help develop integrated marketing campaigns for internal creative work, such as store signage, site content, home page assets, emails, mobile & video.
  • Manage the day-to-day workflow of in-house copy team including assignments.
  • Manage multiple workstreams with varying timelines and complexity.
  • Guide writers and make edits as needed to ensure adherence to Marshalls Tone Of Voice.
  • Work closely with design ACD partner on photo shoot planning for assets used in ecommerce.
  • Be responsible for Customer Experience copywriters, helping to develop talent and future growth.
  • Inspire and mentor team to develop impactful creative ideas and executions.
