About The Position

The position works to check and maintain grammar and diction in all articles before publishing. This role is crucial in ensuring that all content adheres to the established standards and is ready for public consumption.

Requirements

• Must be a registered La Sierra Student
• Must complete Student Authorization Form with Silvia Stenner (Office of Student Life)
• Must have worked as a Criterion Section Editor for at least one quarter.

Responsibilities

• Use the AP Manual of Style to produce and implement standards for headlines, abbreviations, punctuation, etc., which shall be applied to Criterion articles.
• Review articles and/or assign to Section Editors articles before publication.
• Work on fixed content deadlines, after which content will be reviewed by Editor-in-Chief before publication.
• Oversee and communicate with Section Editors.
