Wieland is hiring a 3rd Shift Copperbond Operator . The Copperbond Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the copper and copper alloy manufacturing process. This role emphasizes safety, quality control, and adherence to operational guidelines while working in a team-oriented environmen t . This role is located in Waterbury, CT, and will be fully on-site. Hourly Pay Range : $29.30/hr to $34.80/hr Shift Differential: $0.55/hr Work Schedule : 3rd shift- 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Pay Schedule : Weekly At Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include, but are not limited to, years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to maintain production records and logs.
  • Employment record reflecting reliability.
  • Ability to perform simple math, addition, and subtraction.
  • Must pass pulmonary fit test for respirator use.
  • Ability to interpret technical data and run programmable equipment.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and organizational ability.
  • Mechanically inclined, comfort level with using small hand tools.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and JSP (Job Safety Practice) documents.
  • Read, understand, and follow all work instructions specific to the equipment.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Start-up and shutdown line, including on and offline solutions.
  • Detect and report faulty operations, improper material, and unusual conditions.
  • Record and log all operating data using formulas, production guidelines, QA specifications and SPC data.
  • Treat solutions in preparation for discharge.
  • Monitor inventories.
  • Perform other similar or related duties or flex to other areas of the plant as required.
