The Coordinator will be part of a team committed to the excellence of the patient experience and will play a vital role in the facilitation of services for new international patients. Relationships with patients and International Market Ambassadors are to be managed with the utmost sensitivity to cultural and language needs. The Coordinator will report to the Manager of the International Center, and this position is required to be onsite at least three days per week. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate appointments and match patients with the appropriate specialist based on their condition, insurance status, location, availability, and patient preferences.
  • Develop trusting and supportive relationships with International Market Ambassadors, embassies, physician offices, hospital departments, colleagues, etc.
  • Support International Associates with scheduling and documentation of patient care.
  • Field incoming internal and external emails and calls for the main International Center phone line and support with incoming phone calls for the Ambassador Services phone line.
  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors into the office.
  • Collect comprehensive data and medical records about patients' health, and thorough documentation of communication regarding review of medical records.
  • Data entry and maintenance for all assigned patients.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills, empathy toward patients, and a high emotional intelligence.
  • Easily adapt to changing situations and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with a variety of technology, including Salesforce, Epic, Tableau, among others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; cross-training and collaboration with other teams within Hospitality & Global Client Services.
  • Bachelors degree
  • Fluent in verbal and written Arabic. Medical interpretation license preferred, though not required. If without medical interpretation license, it is to be obtained within first 90 days of employment.
  • Minimum 1-3 years in a customer service or healthcare setting, or the equivalent of in a related field or program.
  • Detail-oriented, demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task requests.
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on listening and interpreting body language required.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment and show initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pleasant and amicable character, strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to develop relationships with wide rang of personalities.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to interface with a diverse, multi-cultural population.
  • Utmost respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quick to learn hospital technologies.
