About The Position

Tarheel Challenge - New London This position serves as the focal point for planning, coordinating, execution and after actions regarding all cadet activities; responsible for activity coordinating, securing and scheduling of volunteerism (40-60 hours per cadet), educational, recreational and entertainment activities for cadets; responsible for implementing logistics of extra class activities (i.e., transportation, lodging, tickets, food, etc.); responsible for training schedules ensuring compliance with the Cooperative Agreement; serves on disciplinary board proceedings; Transports and supervises cadets when participating in off-site Academy activities; coordinates with outside agencies/organizations (i.e., Camp Butner, civic groups, public schools systems, etc.) Also serves on occasion as the Program Trainer coordinating and tracking necessary training for all staff to maintain federal and state compliance. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range : $37,377.00 - $65,408.00 DPS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.
