About The Position
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Undergraduate Research Coordinator to manage the expanding scope of research award administration and help develop new University-wide processes and funding opportunities that align with the strategic goals of Research & Innovation. This role will oversee research award management, ensuring efficient workflows across various colleges and disciplines, and expand awareness of Undergraduate Research (UR) resources through presentations, workshops, orientations, and written communications. A key part of the position involves developing and implementing enhanced research processes, programs, and funding opportunities to support undergraduate research participation. The coordinator will lead outreach and marketing efforts to promote research opportunities, collaborating with campus departments and external partners to create co-curricular experiences. The role includes planning and executing events and professional development training to improve student research skills and career readiness. This position involves supervising students and facilitating broader student engagement in research. This role is critical to fostering a robust research pipeline, particularly for first-generation and underrepresented students, and reports to the Director of Undergraduate Research.
