About The Position

The Coordinator, Teacher Effectiveness position at the San Diego County Office of Education is responsible for coordinating programs within the Teacher Effectiveness and Preparation Programs Unit. This role involves providing information, implementing services, and overseeing various functions of the unit, including serving as the hub lead for the Statewide Residency Technical Assistance Center in the southern region. The position is grant-funded through June 30, 2029, and aims to enhance teacher preparation and professional development across the region.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, educational leadership, educational technology, curriculum, or a related field.
• A minimum of four (4) years' experience providing teacher preparation training and/or high-quality professional development programs.
• Experience with online and blended delivery models and use of a learning management system.
• Proven record of excellence as a classroom teacher or educational leader.
• Experience as a school/program/instructional leader and recent experience evaluating teachers and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working effectively with teachers and site and district level administrators.
• Valid California Teaching Credential and Administrative Services Credential.
