About The Position

As a Coordinator in Sync Licensing at Sony Music Entertainment, you will support the SVP and VP of the Sync Licensing department by managing requests, conducting research, and handling various administrative tasks. This role is essential in facilitating the licensing process for music in various media, ensuring that all necessary approvals and communications are efficiently managed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of music licensing is preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus under stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude while working with multiple departments and outside contacts
  • Use of discretion and maintenance of high levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve a variety of problems
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Photoshop, and typical office equipment

Responsibilities

  • Enter all requests for the sync team and obtain missing information from clients as needed
  • Seek approvals for TV shows, non-profit projects, film festivals, new media, documentaries, and smaller films
  • Conduct and log BA research in GOLD & BA digital archives for the team
  • Track and follow-up on quotes and pending requests
  • Create and send internal communications as needed
  • Create and send various marketing tools for external clients
  • Create and maintain a footage archive of film/trailer/TV placements
  • Manage license database, audio management, and reporting
  • Assist with setting up showcases as needed
