About The Position
The Coordinator of the Student Support Center at Central Texas College is responsible for overseeing the operations of the center, which provides essential support services to both prospective and current students. This role is pivotal in ensuring that students receive the guidance and assistance they need to navigate their educational journey effectively. The Coordinator will supervise a team dedicated to delivering high-quality customer service and support, fostering an environment that encourages student engagement and success. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. The Coordinator will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the services offered by the center, ensuring that they meet the diverse needs of the student population. In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Coordinator will engage in direct communication with students, providing them with information about available resources and services. This includes assisting students with inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating access to various support systems. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, as the Coordinator will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to promote a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere. The position also involves administrative duties, such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and utilizing student information systems to track student interactions and outcomes. The Coordinator will be expected to work full-time, with specific hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Overtime may be required during peak registration periods and other busy times throughout the academic year.
