About The Position
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Student Financial Aid - Boca Raton, FL. This position specifically coordinates aid awarding and manages processing for students in the Comprehensive Transition & Postsecondary Program (CTP). The Coordinator will review eligibility for financial aid packages, process professional judgment (PJ), satisfactory academic progress (SAP) appeals, and revise and cancel aid as required. The role also involves ensuring that front desk staff provide accurate information and appropriately accept and post incoming documents. Additionally, the Coordinator will advise and counsel students regarding financial aid options, student budgets, completion of financial aid forms, and eligibility for aid. The position includes coordinating the awarding of scholarships and other aid, making financial decisions regarding student eligibility for financial aid, processing consortium agreements and study abroad for all FAU students, assisting front desk staffing during peak times, performing financial aid outreach presentations and workshops within the local community, and reviewing and processing weekly financial aid reports such as negative need and over budget reports.
