About The Position

Grounded in the institution’s mission and commitment to academic excellence, service, and student success, the Program Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and Nursing Programs. This position advances the mission by ensuring high-quality support of professional education programs, particularly in areas of clinical education, accreditation, assessment, scholarship, and service. The Program Coordinator fosters a welcoming, student-centered environment while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity, collaboration, and stewardship of institutional resources.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience managing confidential records and sensitive information required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in administrative support, preferably within higher education, healthcare education, or professional programs preferred.
  • Experience supporting accreditation, assessment, or clinical education processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Program Administration & Operations Support ongoing assessment, accreditation, and grant-related initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain efficient, confidential procedures for managing departmental practices and records.
  • Maintain electronic student files (academic and clinical records) in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and distribute student admission correspondence, including acceptance and denial letters.
  • Ensure prompt and professional response to all departmental inquiries (in-person, telephone, mail, voice-mail, and electronic communication).
  • Maintain and update departmental handbooks in collaboration with Chairs and faculty.
  • Contribute to updates and content maintenance for department websites.
  • Coordinate departmental committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, dissemination, and record retention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental operations.
  • Maintain financial records related to departmental budgets.
  • Assist in monitoring budget accuracy in consultation with the Assistant Dean, Chair, and/or Program Directors.
  • Support grant-related documentation and financial tracking as needed.
  • Partner with faculty to organize and coordinate recruitment events, orientations, program ceremonies, and special events (on- and off-campus).
  • Manage logistical planning, communication, materials preparation, and follow-up activities for departmental events.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information related to admissions, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Provide administrative support aligned with clinical education requirements.
  • Supervise student workers (as needed), including assigning tasks and managing schedules.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment by adapting to new responsibilities and evolving departmental needs.
  • Support colleagues in achieving shared departmental goals.
  • Seek opportunities to improve office processes and service delivery.
