About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Scholarship Processing, the Coordinator of Scholarships assists with the management and administration of the Foundation's portfolio of scholarship funds. The Coordinator of Scholarships continuously evaluates the Foundation's scholarship program and identifying opportunities for growth and excellence, while improving the donor and recipient experience by awarding all available scholarship funds, ensuring adherence to the gift agreement criteria and compliance metrics. The coordinator works closely with various units to advise and assist in training University staff on Academic Works, the comprehensive scholarship database system that provides campus-wide consistency in scholarship awarding, compliance evaluation and donor reporting.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Coggin College of Business, the College of Education and Human Services, and the College of Arts and Sciences to award assigned portfolio of Foundation Scholarships.
  • Ensures accuracy of all Foundation scholarship criteria in Academic Works.
  • Ensure all Foundation Scholarships are awarded and finalized on a timely basis.
  • Work with Director in conducting scholarship awarding training to colleges/units.
  • Assist with donor communication regarding all aspects of their scholarship(s) and scholars.
  • Assist in preparing stewardship reports to donors, including student profiles of new scholarship recipients, student academic progress, and student graduation plans.
  • Process all study abroad/research Foundation awards for assigned scholarship portfolio and work with Undergraduate Academic Enhancement to ensure a smooth process for all Foundation scholarship students who are planning to use the study abroad/research component.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining and updating financial models for centrally awarded Foundation scholarships.
  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work as well as local travel as needed.
