Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related health care area.
  • Certification in one or more Health Disciplines in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Five (5) years clinical experience and two (2) years instructional experience.
  • ARRT certification in MRI required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and instruct students.
  • Must have excellent administrative and organizational skills.

  • Certification in one or more Health Disciplines in Diagnostic Radiology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the YNHH Radiology Tech Residency Program (MRI cohort) in accordance with policies and procedures set forth and in concert with policies and procedures as they relate to YNHHS.
  • Responsible for aligning all aspects of the program for all campuses in a manner that ensures program effectiveness.
  • Follows educational guidelines as set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to maintain good standing within the profession.
  • Maintains a cohesive and equitable program policy among all program affiliates. Participates in the development and implementation of new policies and curriculum revisions.
  • Serves as program faculty to provide supplemental material when needed.
  • Recruits program candidates by performing outreach at events within YNHH as well as external to YNHH.
  • Assists the director in the selection and acceptance of candidates in accordance with program prerequisites.
  • Works with program coordinators and clinical managers to schedule resident clinical rotations to effectively achieve desired program outcomes and preparation for their boards.
  • Records, monitors, and assesses resident attendance. Evaluates resident clinical abilities. Maintains a master record for each student.
  • Ensures student compliance with YNHH Code of Conduct, Service Excellence Pledge, standards of appearance, that all patient care responsibilities and staff interactions are performed consistent with departmental and system policy.
  • Investigates incidents and/or complaints and initiates action as appropriate for problem solving.
  • Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration through effective communications and negotiations.
  • Maintains proper credentials within the field of radiology (ARRT).
