Requirements

  • Ability to utilize Excel or other databases and depict graphed information.
  • ARM (Associate in Risk Management) certification preferred.
  • Four years of successful hospital or healthcare agency advocacy and/or risk management experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to inspire confidence quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design data collection systems and analyze data trends.

Nice To Haves

  • Word processing and database experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential materials in a secure and discreet manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with intake of patient/visitor concerns and investigate these issues.
  • Collaborate with department leadership and Risk managers to resolve patient concerns.
  • Provide risk management services including planning, developing, monitoring, and reporting data related to patient relations.
  • Assist with claims management and monitor patient relations cases in coordination with the site risk manager.
  • Advocate for patients and family members during or after their stay in the facility.
  • Listen to issues, investigate concerns, and provide feedback to individuals.
  • Write letters and prepare reports as needed.
