About The Position

JOIN THE BLACK CULTURAL ZONE CDC Coordinator or Manager, Holistic Wellness Thrive Coach Are you a wellness professional who believes that people do their best work when their whole self is supported? The Black Cultural Zone Community Development Corporation (BCZ CDC) is seeking a Coordinator or Manager, Holistic Wellness Thrive Coach — a dedicated Advocate and Balancer who helps BCZ team members access the health, life, and wellness resources they need before challenges affect their work. In this role, you will provide confidential coaching, resource navigation, and practical wellness education to team members across all BCZ hubs and teams. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Coordinator or Manager, Holistic Wellness Thrive Coach, you will: Conduct confidential 1:1 check-ins and group support sessions to assess team member well-being and identify non-work-related challenges that may affect performance. Develop individual Life Support Resource Plans documenting each team member's wellness goals, resource referrals, and follow-up steps. Build and maintain an up-to-date directory of organizational and community resources including EAPs, mental health services, legal aid, and insurance benefits. Facilitate 1:1 coaching and group workshops on physical health, nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management. Administer an annual, confidential Holistic Wellness Inventory with each coachee to identify areas of focus and track progress. Plan and deliver at least one wellness workshop or webinar per quarter on practical topics such as nutrition basics, sleep improvement, or mindfulness. Serve as the first point of contact for team members needing immediate help accessing outside support during a personal emergency or health crisis. Apply the THRIVE methodology and collaborate with other Thrive Coaches to ensure integrated, whole-person support for team members. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate is a compassionate and resourceful wellness professional who brings: A minimum of 2 years of experience in wellness coaching, case management, social work, community health, or a related human services role. Demonstrated experience providing confidential, individualized support and resource navigation to diverse adult populations. Strong knowledge of community resources, EAPs, mental health services, and other wrap-around supports available in the East Oakland and Bay Area community. Experience designing and facilitating group wellness workshops or support groups for adult learners. Exceptional interpersonal skills, high empathy, and the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality with team members at all levels. Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field, or equivalent lived and professional experience. Preferred: NBHWC, CHES, Certified Professional Coach (CPC), or Mental Health First Aid certification. Requirements
