About The Position

The Coordinator, Operations for the Third Shift at Apotex Corp is responsible for supporting daily operations in the Distribution Center. This role focuses on achieving targeted objectives related to safety, quality, service, and continuous improvement while directing staff in their job tasks. The coordinator will also ensure compliance with SOPs and GMPs, support training and development of associates, and facilitate communication within the team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a logistics environment, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills with previous coaching or coordinating experience.
  • SAP knowledge and experience, particularly in inventory management and cycle counting.
  • Proven organization and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated personal computer skills in a Windows environment, particularly Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Recognized designation (P. Log, CITT, etc.) would be an asset.
  • Experience with SAP modules such as QM, PM, and WM.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all warehouse related procedures.
  • Assist in the daily coordination of assigned work.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.
  • Ensure all team members are trained to perform their job functions and have signed off on current procedures.
  • Observe, review, and analyze picking, packing, and shipping processes to identify inefficiencies.
  • Identify and resolve problems within the operations process.
  • Establish good communication channels between employees and leadership.
  • Help develop and maintain department goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Facilitate consistency and continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts.
  • Provide leadership in Safety, Quality, and Service with continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and rules.
  • Assist in reporting and investigating near misses.
  • Provide direction during equipment and system downtimes.
  • Ensure team members can perform all necessary warehouse functions accurately.
