About The Position

The Coordinator of Student Assessment, Research, & Accountability at Spring ISD serves as the liaison for the Houston Education Research Consortium (HERC), managing and coordinating research activities to support district-wide strategy planning and decision-making. This role involves collaboration with district stakeholders and university researchers, applying knowledge of accountability systems and assessment programs to meet research needs. The position is grant-funded for two years with potential for extension, focusing on data analysis, program evaluations, and the development of data dashboards and surveys.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Three to five years of job-related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheet manipulation.
  • Understanding of statistics, research methods, data management, and student testing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in K-12 educational research.
  • Experience with research consortiums and/or research consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate activities of the HERC on behalf of the district.
  • Collaborate with district stakeholders and university researchers on educational research design and execution.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting for the Department of Student Assessment, Research, & Accountability.
  • Conduct program evaluations to meet district needs and state/federal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data dashboards to track district-level progress using Tableau.
  • Write and construct surveys for departments and schools to address their data needs.
  • Prepare reports and presentations utilizing data collection, analysis, and visualization.
