About The Position

The Coordinator of MTSS-A (Academics) supports the design, implementation, and
continuous improvement of the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports for
Academics (MTSS-A). This role focuses on strengthening Tier 1 core instruction,
ensuring effective Tier 2 and 3 academic interventions, and building school and
district capacity to use data to improve student achievement.  Working in close
collaboration with the Chief Academic Officer, Executive Directors, Chiefs of
Schools, and school-based teams, the Coordinator ensures academic MTSS systems
are coherent, standards-aligned, and responsive to the needs of all learners.
The role emphasizes prevention, early identification, and targeted support to
improve literacy, numeracy, and content-area outcomes.  The MTSS Coordinator
will develop and implement district-wide systems and protocols for MTSS along
with strategically planning for MTSS implementation and providing ongoing,
engaging professional development.
