About The Position

The Coordinator of Facilities & Auxiliary Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of auxiliary facilities at the University of Arkansas, including the UREC Fitness Center, UREC Tennis Center, and UREC Sports Complex. This role involves managing facility reservations, ensuring safety and functionality, and supervising a team of over 40 student employees. The coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining a positive user experience and adherence to risk management policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, sport management, higher education, or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of experience in recreation, collegiate/recreational sports, or facility operations.
• Experience supervising part-time staff.

• Master's degree in recreation, sport management, higher education, or related field from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience in recreation, collegiate/recreational sports, or facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of auxiliary facilities including UREC Fitness Center, UREC Tennis Center, and UREC Sports Complex.
• Manage facility reservations and ensure all spaces are safe and functional.
• Supervise a team of over 40 student employees, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
• Coordinate events and ensure excellent customer service.
• Conduct facility inspections and manage transaction processing.
