Major Duties Under general supervision, the Coordinator of EOP and College Advising Services delivers comprehensive academic advisement, coordinates EOP (Educational Opportunity Program) transition and retention efforts, supports first-year advising initiatives, and advances student success programming. The incumbent also represents the College through outreach, workshops, recruitment activities, and collaboration across university partners to strengthen holistic student support Provides comprehensive academic advisement for all students assigned to the College of Science and Mathematics Student Services Center/EOP. Initiates and maintains caseload records and documents student contacts. Identifies and facilitates resolution of student issues, determines service needs, applies and upholds University policy, completes appropriate University forms, and makes necessary referrals to College and University resources. Develops, organizes, facilitates, and implements activities related to monitoring student transition and academic progress, including, but not limited to, follow-up with students and responses to faculty alerts. Coordinates activities related to monitoring EOP student transition and academic progress, including, but not limited to, follow-up with students and responses to faculty alerts. Assists the DCA and Student Services Professional (SSP) IV with the coordination, planning, and implementation of first-year advisement for all incoming first-time freshmen and transfers. Represents the Student Services Center (SSC)/EOP satellite and College of Science and Mathematics at on and off-campus events, recruitment activities, and on university committees.
