About The Position
Governors State University is seeking to hire a Coordinator of Civic Engagement for the Center for Student Engagement and Intercultural Programs. Under the Director's general direction, the Coordinator of Civic Engagement and Intercultural Education (CEIE) transforms student lives through leadership education, identity development, and community engagement. The coordinator creates monthly programming that enhances cultural and civic awareness, diversity, and service. This position will be responsible for planning and delivering intercultural education programming to promote intercultural competence and greater cross-cultural understanding on campus and in the community. The coordinator provides students opportunities to learn and broaden their multicultural lens, serve the campus and community, and enhance leadership skills.
