About The Position

PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Assimilations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring every First-Time Guest at Elevate Life Church experiences a clear, intentional, and welcoming path toward connection and belonging. This journey begins at the first guest encounter and continues until each individual is fully integrated into the life and culture of ELC through a clearly defined next step. This role designs and oversees a personalized, structured assimilation process that helps guests build relationships, understand the culture of Elevate Life, and confidently engage in meaningful involvement. The Assimilations Coordinator develops and implements clear systems that guide guests toward connection points such as serving, classes, and community, ensuring no one feels overlooked or unsure of what comes next. In addition, this position builds, trains, and leads assimilation-focused teams while collaborating closely with staff across ministries to align messaging, processes, and follow-up. Serving as the primary external communicator to First-Time Guests, the Assimilations Coordinator oversees communication strategies, follow-up pathways, and guest initiatives to ensure consistency, clarity, and warmth at every touchpoint. This role is vital to driving healthy, sustainable growth at Elevate Life Church by creating relational pathways that move people from attendance to engagement—helping guests feel known, valued, and empowered to take their next step.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Assimilation Strategies: Develop and oversee data- and people-driven assimilation strategies to track guest and overall church engagement.
  • Monitor and Set Engagement Metrics: Regularly analyze metrics related to assimilation, identify trends, review historical data, and identify areas for improvement within the church and current processes.
  • Proficiency in Systems: Utilize church management software or data systems to monitor first-time guest follow-ups/re-engagements and more.
  • Reporting: Develop clear reporting systems for leadership, providing actionable insights for church growth and future connection strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: This role works closely with the data and executive team to ensure alignment and effectiveness across systems and data.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Ministry Leads, Group Directors & SL Directors to support/provide tools for individual tracking.
  • Collaborate with the Creative and data team to develop targeted messaging through the data system, website, and social platforms.
  • Ensure all Group & SL processes and ministries align with the church assimilation process.
  • Team Building: Build teams that care deeply, communicate clearly, and connect guests with the life of the church.
  • Train teams on clear, consistent verbal and non-verbal communication.
  • Ensure the team can confidently answer common guest questions. (kids, service flow, parking, groups)
  • Establish follow-up communication systems (texts, emails, calls, handwritten notes, etc.)
  • Develop onboarding and training pathways for new SLs on the Assimilations team.
  • Lead regular team meetings, refreshers, and trainings.
  • Align all team efforts with the church’s mission and values.
  • Train SL for FTG engagement through Call and Connect Teams, etc.
  • Responsible for communicating with the Connection Team or energy team on new initiatives with assimilation.
  • Build any relevant teams that may support assimilation processes outside of staff.
  • Incorporate training methods that equip SLs with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their role.
  • Communication: Ensure that the assimilation processes accurately reflect the culture and vision of ELC.
  • Uphold the alignment of implemented strategies with the overall vision of the church.
  • Facilitate communication by connecting and sharing internal information necessary for staff and high-level leaders to take action.
  • Assist in managing internal communications to streamline external messaging, particularly for assimilation-focused initiatives.
  • Platforms: Engage with and be aware of which platforms integrate and support the assimilation initiatives, and ensure that the process flows of those platforms are optimized for what is needed.
  • Stay informed on how all social platforms, posts, and external communications support our process and provide relevant feedback or tactical recommendations as needed.
  • Growth: Identify and inspect intentional First-Time Guest growth across the church.
  • Develop processes and visual representations of growth to help the leadership team track progress.
