About The Position

The Coordinator of Assessment at Grambling State University is responsible for overseeing and coordinating assessment activities that support institutional effectiveness, continuous improvement, accreditation, and compliance. This role involves monitoring the assessment program, assisting various academic and administrative units in creating assessment plans, and supporting the Director in fulfilling institutional, state, and federal requirements and reporting obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of Higher Education experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of the assessment and reporting process
  • Technical skills with experience in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to manage large databases using Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Effective communication skills with diverse groups
  • Willingness to travel for professional development opportunities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data

Responsibilities

  • Monitor annual assessment cycle
  • Provide oversight and assistance with assessment planning and reporting
  • Conduct course evaluations and assessment-related professional development offerings
  • Assist in the ongoing implementation and use of assessment management systems
  • Conduct technical training for faculty and staff on assessment management
  • Assist with SACSCOC reporting and requirements
  • Help programs complete assessment plans and reports
  • Administer and develop institutional surveys
  • Respond to state and federal requests for specialized reports
  • Assist the Director with the compilation and submission of all reports
  • Help units write and review student learning outcomes and key performance indicators
  • Manage the Office's SharePoint Sites for Assessment, Course Evaluation, and Course Syllabus
  • Assist with the annual eFactbook providing updated data on enrollment, graduation rates, and retention rates
  • Provide data needed for proposal writing to faculty and staff
  • Assist with the implementation of any software used within the Office
  • Complete and submit all Title III reports and requirements
  • Manage office inventory
  • Process travel and requisitions

Benefits

  • Salary range of $43,327.60 - $48,327.60 Annually
  • Full-time position with Title III funding support
