The Coordinator of Academic Affairs Operations plays a vital role in supporting the Provost's Office and academic units across the institution. This position coordinates and supports core academic processes-including faculty contracts, workload tracking, promotion and tenure, assessment, and operational planning-and collaborates with Institutional Research and the Registrar's Office on reporting and data initiatives. Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, comfort working with data and technology, strong organizational skills, and clear communication.

  • Coordinate preparation, tracking, and communication of faculty contracts, workload, and compensation.
  • Support the promotion and tenure process, including recordkeeping and documentation management.
  • Assist with assessment, accreditation, and program review activities.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Research to collect, organize, and submit institutional surveys (e.g., Common Data Set, College Board).
  • Maintain academic calendars, committee communications, and faculty information.
  • Prepare reports, maintain internal Provost sites, and assist with faculty communications.
  • Provide general administrative support for Academic Affairs initiatives and special projects, Registrar, and Institutional Research.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of four years of administrative or academic operations experience (higher education experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with data and productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use new technologies and data management systems.
  • Openness to learning and adopting new tools to improve efficiency and workflows.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced academic setting.
