The Unit Coordinator on this unit assists in the coordination of the daily operation of a unit. Promote a caring and healing environment for patientcentered care. Function as a clinical resource and role model, monitor staff assignments and performance, identify potential problems, participate in Quality Improvement activities, under the direction of the Nursing Manager and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, UHS and the Nursing Division Policies and Philosophy. Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable amodation. Consistently meets or exceeds expectations for a Registered Nurse including the use of Nursing Process to assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement and evaluate nursing care; evidencebased practice; patientcentered care; education for patients and families; administration of medications; collaboration with the health care team, productivity and effective resources utilization; participation in d Governance; support of a learning environment; and professional development.
