About The Position

About the Role The Coordinator of New Hire Programs and Experiences will support the day-to-day administration of the Team Member experience for Orientation, Onboarding, and Operational learning programs. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail while also having a relentless focus on practical application and communication abilities that resonates with our USH Team members. As the Learning and Development team, we strive to empower and unlock the potential in every Team Member at USH by developing and delivering high-impact programs, experiences, and initiatives. At the core of this role, you will: Ensure each course from the New Hire Programs and Experiences team is set up for success Support the New Hire Programs and Talent Development teams with coordinating training space, prepping rooms and materials, and LMS administration. Be the primary point of contact for New Hires for all NHPE courses, as well as Team Members for any talent development programs. Collaborate with the larger Training and development Team to create the Newsletter and help promote programs in partnership with Internal Communications. Coordinate with key partners to ensure seamless handoff of process through the New Hire onboarding experience

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • 1+ year work experience in HR or, ideally supporting a corporate new hire or employee centric function.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and communicate in a professional and personable demeanor.
  • Experience exercising sound judgment when dealing with sensitive and confidential matters

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Human Resources, Business, Communication or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during orientation to address questions, provide guidance, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all New Hire materials and communications are sent to New Hires throughout the orientation process.
  • Organize logistics of the Universal Way Summer Challenge and actively support its success.
  • Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed for each program.
  • Support and facilitate our company-wide orientation program, welcoming New Hires from every population.
  • Support the greater L&OD team with training room management, including, but not limited to inspection of training rooms ensuring they are in working order for training needs, reporting any technical/AV errors to proper parties, and ensuring all tables and chairs are properly maintained.
  • Interact in-person with large volume of Team Members and Operations Managers at Universal Studios Hollywood
  • Collect, monitor, and organize data to analyze programs based on attendance and participant feedback
  • Process office and kitchen supply orders for the greater team.
  • Ensure proper crediting of all LMS modules for new hires and operational learning attendees.
  • Facilitates other in-person learning programs as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility with their schedule with availability to work on weekends, holidays, and nights as required by the Manager of Learning & Development
