About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Medical Staff Services, the Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for performing and facilitating medical staff administrative functions. Coordinates, facilitates and documents medical staff meetings and functions. Coordinates special projects as required such as revision of core privileges, establishment of new privileges, surveying physicians as needed with The Joint Commission, as well as other regulatory agency mandates. Serves as authority on Medical Staff Bylaws, issues and/or questions and provides changes to those documents as necessary. Provides ongoing assistance and maintenance of databases for initial appointment, reappointment and progression activities.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in hospital Medical Staff Office required.
• No travel required.
