The Medical Staff Services Department is seeking a dedicated individual to coordinate and oversee its operations. This role includes managing physician and allied health credentialing and re-credentialing processes, as well as privileging. The coordinator will be responsible for organizing medical staff meetings, taking minutes, and ensuring the flow of information from medical staff committees to Administration, the Medical Executive Committee, and the Governing Board. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with preparations for The Joint Commission (TJC) surveys related to medical staff and leadership functions, which includes providing education to staff and medical personnel regarding accreditation standards. The position requires close collaboration with medical staff leaders, hospital administration, and the Risk Manager to address medical staff and bylaws issues.
