About The Position

This is a hybrid position. The work for this role is remote, but there are occasional meetings and events that will require onsite presence. Join the Corewell Health team as a Medical Professional Services Coordinator Associate and play a critical role in ensuring our patients receive care from the most qualified and credentialed physicians. In this pivotal position, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest standards for our medical staff by collecting, verifying, and analyzing vital information such as education, licenses, and certifications. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy will help identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with credentialing requirements. In addition, this position requires strong administrative capabilities to support complex committee work. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Skills/knowledge/abilities typically gained through less than 2 years of experience in a related field

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the credentialing of physicians at Corewell Health by collecting and verifying required information.
  • Provides strong administrative support for committee work, including complex tracking, documentation management, and report preparation.
  • Reports various activities monthly to the Credentialing Committee for review and recommendation to the Finance Committee and Board.
  • Assists physicians with privileging questions and concerns.
  • Utilizes appropriate software applications—including Excel—to maximize efficiency and support detailed workload demands.
  • Greets and communicates in a manner consistent with caring and respect and follows established policies for confidentiality.
  • Answers telephones, welcomes visitors, and relays information in a manner consistent with hospitality standards.
  • Composes documents and independently formats, types, and proofreads correspondence, memos, reports, charts, statistics, meeting minutes, newsletters, etc.
  • Performs or coordinates basic office duties such as copying, filing, faxing, completing forms, and ordering/maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Collects, compiles, and prepares data for analysis, and develops systems that facilitate accurate and efficient tracking of information.
  • Manipulates data to develop reports for special requests and reviews data for accuracy.
  • Collaborates confidently with the Chief of Staff and Medical Staff leadership to support credentialing and committee operations.
