About The Position

The Coordinator for the McKnight Scholarship Programs at Oklahoma State University plays a vital role in enhancing the leadership development of McKnight Scholars. This position involves collaboration with the Hargis Leadership Institute's leadership to coordinate various aspects of the scholarship program, including recruitment, selection, and the organization of retreats and study abroad programs. The coordinator will also focus on alumni relations and brand development, ensuring the program's national recognition as a premier leadership development initiative.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Leadership, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, Education, or a related field.
• One year of experience working with student leaders.
• Experience in public speaking and presenting.
• Experience in small group facilitation and event planning.
• Experience in recruiting and student engagement/programming.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Leadership, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Communications, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Experience in developing student leaders.
• Experience in teaching within an educational setting such as K-12 or Higher Education.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the McKnight Scholars Program in collaboration with the Assistant Director for Scholarship Programs.
• Organize McKnight Scholars Retreats and an annual leadership study abroad program.
• Create and implement co-curricular activities for McKnight Scholars.
• Assist in class preparation for McKnight courses.
• Lead recruitment and selection processes for incoming McKnight Scholars.
• Develop and implement an assessment strategy to track leadership development metrics.
• Create an annual assessment report for the McKnight Scholars leadership program.
• Support departmental initiatives by collaborating with colleagues to develop leadership materials.
