About The Position

Organized and enterprising development professional providing support to the Major Gifts team and Development office colleagues in order to increase individual fundraising capacity. This role executes a best-in-class engagement and stewardship program, providing a seamless and value-driven donor experience which leverages NJPAC's artistic excellence and advances an institutional narrative focused on impact, outcomes, and access. The Coordinator of Major Gifts works closely with colleagues across the organization to maximize philanthropic support from prospects and existing donors, identifying opportunities to engage them more effectively in NJPAC's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Previous experience working with non-profit organizations, especially in fundraising, customer service, and/or event management.
  • Excellent customer relations skills, with the ability to intuit donors' needs, identify issues, and problem-solve.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Office365, Google Suite.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Some evening and weekend work is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software a plus.
  • Familiarity with ticketing software systems a plus.
  • Interest in the performing arts and arts education a plus.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with our Loyalty Services team, provide top-of-class donor concierge service to Vanguard Society and NJPAC Champion donors, assisting them with ticket requests, parking, and reservations.
  • Manage data in CRM system, including (but not limited to): tracking pledges and outright gifts; updating donor contact and biographical information; uploading documents relevant to donors, gifts, and pledges; gift tracking forms; creating reports and lists as requested; etc.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of written materials to donors, including annual reports, proposals, gift acknowledgements, pledge forms, invoices, and other communications.
  • Assist Membership and Development Events in coordinating cultivation and fulfillment events. These include (but are not limited to): intermission and pre/post-event receptions; formal events; performer meet-and-greets; and off-site events.
  • Facilitate the creation of "surprise and delight" moments for donors upon their arrival.
  • Manage and/or attend evening and weekend events and perform other duties and assist in special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate and execute the delivery of messages and gifts for donors' special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, life events, etc.).
  • Manage donor communications for gifts, pledge reminders and other donor outreach as required.
  • Work closely with Director of Research and Prospecting to pre-screen audience members before select performances
  • Additional administrative duties as directed.
